How can I protect my Tacoma or 4Runner mirror housings from scratches?
A: The mirror cover fits over the exterior surface of the factory mirror housing, helping reduce minor scratches, scuffs, dirt, and everyday wear caused by branches, road debris, car washes, and regular driving.
Vehicle-Specific Fit: Designed around the side mirror contours of the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma and 2025+ Toyota 4Runner, the Lexland mirror caps provide a cohesive look that complements the vehicle's original styling. Check trim compatibility before ordering.
Rain-Deflecting Edge: The raised upper edge helps redirect some rainwater away from the mirror surface, reducing the amount of water that flows directly across the glass. It offers a practical detail for everyday driving in wet weather.
Added Shade and Coverage: The extended upper edge provides partial coverage against direct sunlight and falling water droplets. This added coverage complements the mirror's existing shape without claiming to eliminate glare or fully prevent water from reaching the glass.
Lightweight ABS Construction: Made from lightweight ABS plastic, the Lexland side view mirror covers offer a balance of everyday durability and structural strength without adding unnecessary weight. The molded design also complements the rugged styling of your Tacoma or 4Runner.
Convenient Installation: Designed to install without removing the entire side mirror assembly, the rear view mirroe covers simplify the upgrade process. Check the included mounting method and installation instructions before fitting to ensure proper placement and a secure fit.
The raised details along the top of the mirror cover help direct some water away from the mirror surface. Positioned along the upper edge, these contours provide a defined path for water to run off rather than spreading evenly across the housing. This design is useful in rainy conditions, although it does not eliminate water droplets or guarantee a completely clear mirror.
The extended upper edge adds coverage along the top of the side mirror housing. It helps shield the mirror from some light spray and overhead glare, depending on the weather and lighting conditions. Combined with the raised ribs, the upper contour gives the mirror cover a more defined profile without changing the overall shape of the side mirror.
Designed for 2024+ Toyota Tacoma and 2025+ Toyota 4Runner, these mirror covers follow the shape of the factory side mirrors for a cohesive appearance. Made from ABS, they feature a contoured shell with three raised ribs along the top. The fitted design adds definition to the mirror housing while maintaining the original mirror's overall shape.
Choose between matte black and gloss black to match your vehicle's exterior styling. Matte black has a low-sheen finish for a more understated look, while gloss black features a reflective surface that adds contrast. Both options share the same contoured shape and raised rib details, so the main difference is the surface finish.
A1: Adding a red ABS mirror cover gives the factory side mirrors a more distinctive appearance and adds a TRD-style sport and off-road look to the Tacoma or 4Runner.
A2: No. The version for mirrors with factory turn signals is shaped with an opening around the light area, allowing the original turn signal to remain visible and unobstructed.
A3: No. It is an exterior cover that installs over the factory mirror housing, so there is no need to replace the complete mirror assembly.
A4: No. The cover is designed to install over the existing mirror housing with adhesive, avoiding the need to replace or remove the complete mirror assembly.
A5: The raised upper edge helps redirect some rainwater away from the mirror surface, reducing the amount of water that flows directly across the glass in wet weather.
